Her gaze fell up towards
To the star-embedded heaven,
And she inhaled the spectral clouds
Crawling across the field of darkest blue
Above her water-crowned head.
She sang the cool moonbone down
From its perch in the sky
Into her belly,
Where she held that orb
Of enigma and shadow,
And let it grow until she
Finally
Gave birth to the sun.
