Grief

Weird Poetry

It feels hollow

And sick,

Like a hole in my centre —

The physical feeling of grief.

I don’t have words to explain the sensation of losing someone,

I only have the empty feeling in my gut,

Forcing myself to eat when my body has no interest,

Seeing double… or nothing at all,

And just wanting to sleep it away.

She was here a second ago —

Now she’s gone,

And I don’t know how to feel

Other than physically ill.
