Once Admired

Weird Poetry

I may have admired you once,

But then I pulled your skin away from your shaking bones,

And realized that

Your tongue lashes nectared poison,

You are interchangeable with ghosts,

And that your words swing from burning bridges right into cragged cliff faces.

My memories will forget you

Before dawn breaks my non-dreams.

*** Sweet Cheeks, who are you even talking about? You’re a loner. ***

*** One of my problems is that I never forget anything or anyone (even if I say I will forget you, I never fucking will). So I could be talking about 10 different people I may have known at different points in my life who all sucked for one reason or another. I process experiences at a sloth-like pace. ***
